We are very grateful to have lots of community support each year to pull off a ten-day fair. Each year we are blessed with sponsors, volunteers, non-profits, school groups, 4-H, the sheriff’s department, local bands and, of course, Kiwanians.
This year, we have four sponsors already committed to helping the Newnan Kiwanis Club.
Buffalo Rock, Southtowne, Southern Credit Federal Union and West Georgia Technical College have all stepped up to the plate. We are looking forward to tweeting about some special prizes just for supporting our sponsors, so be on the lookout.
Also, we couldn’t cover our bases enough without the volunteer support from many of the organizations that we help with funding from the fair proceeds. These volunteers come out and help us sell tickets, work in the exhibit hall and information booth. If you truly want to learn about the fantastic work these organizations are doing for our community just ask them what organization they are with and what they are doing for our children. It’s fascinating.
Speaking of fascinating, take a walk through the Ag building. The kids and families that are involved with 4-H are very dedicated and smart. Ask them what they’ve done to earn the ribbons on the cages and animals.
And Kiwanians – well, this is what we do, we work year-round to bring the fair back each year, with quality entertainment, clean family fun and all to benefit this community we live in. Come visit us though, anytime throughout the year. We meet at the Newnan Country Club every Tuesday at noon.
